Hi, I’m Kaspar. Wurzelfoo is my personal notebook that collects snippets and thoughts around my online and real life. In the latter, I was born in the early 80’s and live in Berlin/Germany, together with my beautiful girlfriend. I’m trying to fill my fridge as a freelancing systems administrator, specialized in MacOS and *BSD systems.

Today I decided to buy a new bag.

For the last 8 years or so I was using a Crumpler Wack-O-Phone for carrying my Macbook and other stuff but lately it felt too small every now and then. It’s pretty thick padded for protecting the inside which takes up too much space in my opinion and carrying it fully packed was a painful task (literally).

My new bag had to be

  • larger
  • a messenger bag as I mainly use my bicycle for commuting
  • I don’t like backpacks (only for traveling)
  • doesn’t need to be laptop-specific, because I’m using a neoprene-sleeve for that

I choose the Citizen from Chrome and I like it. I feel a littlebit ashamed, because by living in Berlin I should have chosen BagJack but those didn’t seem to match my back and where quite uncomfortable for me. The strap of the chrome is greatly widened at the top which makes it easy to carry (for me, it is). Let’s see how it holds up in daily usage.
